Sue ran her own successful business for many years near Bath, before joining Midcalf Nicholls and applying her numerous skills to the full-on role of Lettings Manager. Her caring, empathic approach to clients, combined with an incisive, business head suits the ethos of Midcalf Nicholls perfectly. She and her husband have recently completed a major refurbishment of a stunning home in Kinver and she is as busy outside work as in, with interests that include Charity Fundraising, cooking, entertaining and travel.
Sue Capon
Lettings Manager
Dawn has worked for many years in estate agency – in both the corporate and independent sector – and truly knows what works and what doesn’t! She’s a highly motivational manager of her team and, for her, it’s all about the client experience. “Service with a smile,” is a mantra and she thrives on guiding clients through the sales journey, problem-solving along the way, and generally striving to “take the stress away”. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and entertaining, clothes shopping, swimming and countryside walks.

With a background in banking, as well as estate agency, Shirley's disciplined efficiency helps keep the sales team on the straight and narrow. Her part-time role is combined with being a hands-on grandmother. She is also a keen walker and South Hams supporter.

Katharine is Midcalf Nicholls' longest-serving employee and is a highly experienced negotiator. She still thrives in "meeting new people and seeing lovely properties". She also loves the vital, but often overlooked, aspect of her role - that of liaising with solicitors, surveyors, mortgage brokers and other relevant professionals, to ensure an agreed sale actually goes through to completion. With three children to look after, "spare time" is not something she knows a lot about, but she is a keen pianist.

A natural people person - and also something of a wizard on the tech front - Eliza relishes the many aspects of her busy role, which can involve, one minute, helping tenants find their new home and, the other, sorting out an urgent plumbing issue. Eliza also assists on the sales side, matching clients to their next dream home, and dealing with our current and potential vendors. Her interests outside work include exploring countries and socialising with friends.

As one of the founding partners, Robert has been with Midcalf Nicholls since the firm's inception in 1992. His main focus is now strategy management and bespoke marketing for retained clients, but he also maintains a keen interest in the day-to-day running of the firm. He is a foodie - "eating is a favourite recreation" - so attempts to partake in "compensatory exercise", which includes cycling.
